This project involved rebranding a hotel that was about 40 years old, located near Kirishima Shrine at the foot of the Kirishima mountain range in Kagoshima Prefecture, as "The Pulse Kirishima."
The former hotel was purchased by a real estate investment fund and completely renovated.
Our company handled the interior and exterior concept design for the entire building, and collaborated with a local general contractor for construction, enabling us to open the building in a remarkably short timeframe of approximately one year from the start of design work.
Issues/requests
By connecting with, resonating with, and fusing with the land of Kirishima, we aimed to create a place that would regenerate the mind and body of our guests.
solution
Inspired by the majestic natural world, the space was concept design with the theme of "the pulse of the earth." Throughout the hotel, colors, shapes, and materials that intuitively evoke the life force of the earth are incorporated, creating a unique sense of comfort specific to this hotel.
