Tamagawa Takashimaya SC South Building Atrium Garden Renewal

As part of the renovation of the South Building of Tamagawa Takashimaya Shopping Center in Tamagawa, Setagaya Ward, the louvers covering the walls were removed and the existing multi-story garden was opened to the public, with the aim of creating a lively atmosphere as a commercial facility and increasing the three-dimensional flow of the entire town, including surrounding related facilities. An LED cube was inserted into the facade so that it appears to float, and can be seen from the west exit of Futako Tamagawa Station, the pedestrian deck, the intersection, and the entire street along National Route 246. By adding various places to see and be seen within the cubic frame, the South Building was able to recreate the expression and flow of the town as a whole, rather than just the facility itself, in conjunction with digital content.
