Shinjuku Kabuki Hall - Kabuki Yokocho
This is a next-generation entertainment food hall in Kabukicho operated by Hamakurateki Shoten Seisakusho, which was responsible for the originator of the yokocho boom, "Ebisu Yokocho" and "Shibuya Yokocho." The approximately 1,000 m2 floor is a food festival street with a total of 10 stores that fuse food, music, and video under the theme of "festival" and "food from all over the country."
From Hokkaido in the north to Kyushu and Okinawa in the south to South Korea next door, you can find carefully selected ingredients directly from the producers, as well as regional cuisine, B-class gourmet, rice bowls, noodles, yakitori, dumplings, alcohol, and other "soul foods" from each region.
Various performances and events such as stage, DJ booth, disco ball, LED, karaoke, magician, etc. are set up in the food hall every night, and it is a place to transmit culture from all over Japan, and as an experience-based space that goes beyond the boundaries of restaurants, we aimed to become a new exchange base for Kabukicho.
The contrast of the place is created by interweaving two opposing elements: the good old Showa and Heisei eras that remain in the back of our memories, and the ever-changing newness that is unique to Kabukicho. Rather than creating interiors of a restaurant, i.e. the "hardware," we worked with the client as a project team to create the "atmosphere of the place."
