Seiko Epson Corporation Toyoshina Plant "VISUAL INNOVATION EXPERIENCE"
We were in charge of the design and construction for the renovation of Seiko Epson's Toyoshina Plant No. 2 building in Nagano Prefecture.
It is a co-creation space that visualizes and experiences the vision, technology, and capabilities of the Visual Products Division, and consists of an displays space where visitors can experience historical displays and actual product displays of projector products, as well as a LAB space equipped with a 25m extra-large screen and a 360-degree screen that can be used flexibly for a variety of purposes.
The goal was to create a space where people could become fans of Epson and co-create by deepening their understanding of Epson's cutting-edge, innovative technology.
Epson projectors take center stage in this flexible facility, which can be used for displays, presentations, and even as a place for demonstration experiments.
In order to convey the appeal of the projector, we focused on highlighting the "color" created by the projector's light, while keeping the surrounding environment as neutral as possible. This resulted in a space that is comfortable to be confronted with light and individuality, and that has the space and freedom to flexibly respond to a variety of situations.
In addition, Epson's projectors use the 3LCD system, and their unique technology allows them to realize images that are bright, colorful, and easy on the eyes. Therefore, in this facility, we aimed to expand the possibilities of such advanced and innovative technology and create a space that is easy to generate new ideas and co-creation, aiming for a tolerant and flexible space like a white canvas.
