overview

[Project Description]

"A home connected to nature where you can play innocently and immerse yourself in nothingness" is a second home proposal for the ReLife generation (men in their 50s, occupation: pastry chef).
The desire to "continue growing with excitement, and to have an environment where I can deepen my creativity no matter my age" is expressed through the image of a "secret base where I can return to being a boy."
The design includes a living space where you can play "innocently" with family and friends while sitting or lying down, and a circular window room where you can become one with nature and "mindlessly" immerse yourself in your own world.
By making extensive use of "earthen walls," known for their superior texture and functionality, and effectively utilizing lighting effects, this space allows you to experience a deepening of creativity through two concepts of "nothingness": "innocence" and "mindlessness." Our company assisted with the planning, concept design, and construction of this project.

[Customer issues/requests]

With the theme of "a secret base where you can return to being a boy," the challenge is how to express a space where everyone can gather and play, and a space where you can immerse yourself in your own world, in one living space.

【solution】

As a single large space, we made extensive use of earthen walls, which have excellent texture and functionality, to create a comfortable and inviting environment.
Within that space, the area where everyone can gather and play "innocently" is represented by a tiered stage using Panasonic's interior counter products, and a large table is placed in the center to create a space where everyone can gather.
In the other "mindless" space, a circular window room was incorporated, serving as a concept design accent within the living space and creating a space where one can immerse oneself in and feel nature.
