Storyteller Ohara Hontei

The former Ohara family residence, a nationally designated important cultural property, is the home where generations of the Ohara family lived, including Ohara Magosaburo, who founded companies such as Kurabo, Kuraray, the Ohara Museum of Art, and Kurashiki Central Hospital, laying the foundation for the development of Kurashiki. We aimed for this house to continue to grow as a catalyst—a place where people can become aware of the great achievements of the Ohara family and where they can discuss the present and the future. A portion of the publicly accessible area has been designated as a "Conversation Space (Katalyzer)," realizing a contactless concept design using words, a family tree, and projection mapping.
