Storyteller Ohara Hontei

The Former Ohara Family Residence, a nationally designated Important Cultural Property, is the home of generations of the Ohara family, who founded Ohara Magosaburo, Kurabo, Kuraray, the Ohara Museum of Art, Kurashiki Central Hospital and other companies, laying the foundations for the development of Kurashiki. We aimed for this house to continue to grow as a place to raise awareness of the Ohara family's achievements and as a catalyst for discussing the present and future. Part of the public area has been turned into a "Katalyzer space," where we have realized a non-contact concept design with pouring words, a family tree and projection mapping.
