Metsa, where Metsa Village will open, will consist of two areas: Metsa Village (opening November 9, 2018, free of charge), where visitors can experience the Nordic lifestyle, and Moomin Valley Park (opening March 2019, fee-paying), which is themed around the Moomin stories.
Metsa Village will be approximately 163,000 m2 in size and will consist of retail facilities, food and beverage facilities, workshop facilities, event space, parking facilities, etc. We were in charge of supervising environmental design (building exterior specifications and concept design, facility signage adjustment, environmental benches, photo spots, trash can concept design).
[Customer issues/requests]
We requested something with a Nordic atmosphere that matched the Metsa worldview, and because the target audience was adult women, we also wanted a playful concept design that would look good on Instagram.
[Customer feedback]
There were many concept design that looked great on Instagram, and customers were eager to upload the photos they took to social media, which had a great PR effect.
In addition, the benches invite you to relax, allowing you to experience Metsa's concept of "living with space."
