overview

All floors of the Loisir Hotel Shinagawa Seaside are on the upper floors, with the reception and conference rooms on the 16th floor and guest rooms on floors 17 to 22. For this renovation, our company was in charge of renovating the 50 guest rooms on the 18th floor.
Taking advantage of the location's characteristics and focusing on easy access to tourist destinations, we reflected concept design in the design of the first experience during the stay. Based on the concept of "a space where the first step of a journey begins," we aimed to create a space where guests can feel the hospitality by dividing the stay experience into smaller parts and adding concept design to that "first action."
Additionally, to take advantage of the unique scenery of this location, the FF&E incorporates the colors of the container terminal in the port area that stretches out in front of the hotel, incorporating the outside scenery into the space as if it were a borrowed landscape.

Issues/requests

The hotel was requested to be one that would attract a new customer base, and to have guest rooms that could accommodate an expanding customer base.

solution

Targeting leisure travelers (groups/families/inbound tourists), the hotel has adopted modern Japanese-style guest rooms to meet the increasing demand from inbound tourists in recent years.
We have also introduced bunk beds and sofa beds to increase the number of people that can be accommodated per room.

The hotel is intended to be both a "place to rest during your journey" and a "place where your journey begins," a space that supports the first step of every guest's journey.

Customer's voice

In the current situation where there is a shortage of supply to meet the increasing demand for large group accommodation, we asked them to create concept design that makes effective and functional use of the space. We have also created new Japanese modern guest rooms, a style that was not available in our hotel before, allowing us to meet a wider variety of needs.
