overview

Kids Garden Minami-Aoyama is one of Tokyo's largest facilities for early childhood education and schoolchildren.

In the process of infancy and childhood, when brain development is most active, experienced and professional instructors with specialized knowledge, Montessori , an original early childhood education program jointly developed with Shingakai, and gymnastics and swimming programs supervised by a special team that supports Olympians and top athletes. You can receive it.

This facility is a place where you can meet a wide variety of educational programs from Japan and overseas, and the location of Aoyama is a place where various values, races, and cultures come and go. Based on the characteristics of the facility and location, we decided on the keyword "CROSS" and incorporated the intersection into the design as a symbolic motif. In addition, as if expressing CROSS, it incorporates a taste that mixes Japanese and Western styles. The Japanese element in particular reflects the owner's wish that "because we live in a globalized world, I want children to continue to maintain the goodness and identity of Japan even after they become adults." We have created a space where people can naturally experience Japanese culture.
We fully mobilized our know-how cultivated through the construction of numerous nursery schools to create a space that combines safety and design.

[Social Issues/Customer Issues/Requests]
As a new private facility for child-rearing support, we have received a request that we want to balance safety and design, and that we would like to set the facility theme as "Japanese culture" assuming foreign users and visitors due to the characteristics of the location. I'm sorry.

【solution】
As the essence of Japanese culture, we have incorporated elements such as noren, traditional patterns, and traditional Japanese colors into the space design to create opportunities to experience Japanese culture on a daily basis.
In order to contribute to child-rearing support, in order to differentiate from the space design of general and average children's facilities, a distinctive design based on the concept of "Japanese culture" is carried out, and points of contact with Japanese culture from childhood. was created.

【customer's voice】
This is our company's largest facility ever, but I think we were able to express a high-quality design and a unified concept. Thanks to their flexible corrections and adherence to the construction schedule, we were able to proceed to the opening of the facility without any problems.
