Jeddah Events Calendar 2023 -Anime Village at City Walk

The Jeddah Events Calendar (JEC) is an entertainment event that is part of a national strategy held in Jeddah, the second largest city in Saudi Arabia in the Middle East.
In addition to live music performances by world-class artists, attractions such as roller coasters, and a variety of restaurants and shops, one of the main attractions attracting visitors is Anime Village, which promotes Japanese culture, including Japanese anime and manga, which are extremely popular in the country.
Together with Avex Asia Pte. Ltd., we were responsible for everything from the initial planning to overall project management, concept design, engineering, software production, and on-site design supervision.

While taking into account the Saudi Arabian national character, the entertainment value they desire, and an understanding of their religion, we were required to create a plan and concept design that would be centered on "experiencing" Japanese anime, manga, and Japanese culture, rather than simply "watching" them. In addition, we were required to have a sense of speed and concept design communication that was significantly different from projects in Japan, making it a difficult project that needed to be put together in a short period of time.

We made the most of the organizational strength and network we have cultivated over the years, and formed a team with the sales and product direction departments at the center of the Content Integration Center (CIC), which has particular strength in content-based experience design. By overcoming the time difference, responding online from Japan, and traveling to the site multiple times to align our thinking with the site, we were able to realize a high-quality project in a short period of time.

I believe that a major factor in our success was that we were able to proceed with the work with even clearer scope of work between our company and your company than we did in the 2022 project.
