Hamleys Yokohama World Porters

Hamleys, the UK's oldest toy store with a history spanning 259 years, currently has stores in 19 countries around the world, and is a theme park-like facility with a variety of features that are different from ordinary toy stores. The Yokohama World Porters store, which will be the first in Japan following the Canal City Hakata store in Fukuoka, consists of two floors, the first and second floors. The first floor is equipped with Hamleys' iconic merry-go-round, which children can actually ride and play on. The playroom on the second floor allows children to enjoy playing with digital technology and trying out toys.
Just like in the US, rental services are available for party rooms where you can celebrate special occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries with entertainers, making this a facility where families can have a great time.
Our company coordinated this project, with both stores opening on roughly the same day, and assisted with everything from the detailed working drawings based on the master plan from the home country construction (excluding the playroom) and construction supervision.

We were able to create a store with high-precision construction that took safety into consideration. All project members agree that it was all thanks to the support of NOMURA Co.,Ltd. Ltd., who not only worked with the British design firm but also handled import agency work, making it possible for us to open the store after such a short development period.
