overview

We have planned the Mie Prefecture booth to be exhibited in the Kansai Pavilion at the 2025 World Expo, Japan (Osaka, Kansai Expo).
The Mie Prefecture booth was designed with the theme of "The Origin of the Japanese Spirit" and was designed to be a space where visitors could experience the charms of the "beautiful country of Mie," including its rich nature, history, diverse culture, and food. It is an experiential booth that allows visitors to experience Mie with all five senses through valuable displays and content that can only be found at the Expo.

Issues/requests

Of the nine prefectures exhibiting in the Kansai Pavilion, Mie Prefecture was asked to plan and produce attractive displays and content to attract visitors and to implement effective measures to attract them to its booth.

solution

To address this request, we focused on the keyword "a memorable experience" and designed a space that would capture the interest of visitors and encourage their active involvement.
A fantastical tunnel made of mirrors drew visitors in, creating an entrance that made entering the booth a memorable experience.
Inside the booth, dynamic images of five unique areas in the prefecture were projected onto five wall screens, and the combination of these with interactive displays that visitors could actually touch and experience brought out the best in the exhibit. We aimed to create an experience that visitors could enjoy with all five senses, rather than just looking, so that the experience would leave a lasting impression on visitors.
A navigation area was set up at the end of displays, directing visitors to a tourism promotion website equipped with an AI concierge. This created a path for visitors to take home tourism information tailored to them, leading to them actually visiting the prefecture.
