This is an experimental facility aimed at expanding Panasonic's air quality and air conditioning product solutions, centered around three themes: "Air quality issues in non-residential spaces," "A place to co-create with business partners," and "Experience the latest prototypes that control the seven elements of air quality." Through this facility, participants can actually experience the "wind," which leads to the promotion of solutions that meet customer needs through co-creation and development. Group worksheets, meeting spaces, and private booths are available, allowing participants to experience the "wind" in various locations as part of air quality and air conditioning solutions. The facility is intended to promote co-creation and further lead to the practice of a human-centered product development process.
[Social issues/customer issues/requests]
In order to expand the scope of our air quality and conditioning solutions, we received a request to create a space that would more attractively communicate the outstanding features of our latest products.
[Solution]
Taking advantage of the glass façade where natural light pours in, we aimed to create a space that feels even more comfortable when combined with materials that evoke natural elements such as wood and stone, and the solution of "wind". We also took care to appeal to the effectiveness of "wind" as one of the interiors components. In addition, we took into consideration the layout and zoning of the air quality and conditioning solutions incorporated in each booth and area so that they could be used not just as displays, but also as actual meetings and workspaces.
[Customer feedback]
The company proposed a well-balanced use of materials with natural elements such as wood and stone, which enabled the plants to blend in with the space when they were added, creating a space that is in harmony with the breeze and gives a sense of well-being. In addition, when employees actually used the space, they could feel that it was a comfortable, easy-to-spend layout.
