AIYA Co., Ltd. Second Yonezu Factory Office

This was a plan to relocate the offices of AIYA, a long-established matcha manufacturer founded in 1888 and based in Nishio City, Aichi Prefecture, one of Japan's leading matcha producing areas. The relocation was planned within a new BCP product warehouse building that was built on the site of the existing factory.

We were asked to create a space that would allow employees and visitors to experience AIYA's individuality as a long-established matcha manufacturer.

Using traditional techniques and natural materials, we incorporated elements throughout the building that evoke the scenery of the tea fields that spread across Nishio City and the pattern of a tea mill used to grind matcha tea, evoking the company's activities. We also placed the company logo throughout the facility, creating an original office space.
