How did Ghibli Park come about?
How was the world of Ghibli expressed?
Blu-ray/DVD released on Wednesday, December 4, 2024! Digital distribution begins (purchase/rental)!
Following the first phase of Ghibli Park, a park facility that depicts the world of Studio Ghibli, the long-awaited second phase has now opened, and this is a valuable making-of documentary that follows the production process, focusing on "Mononoke no Sato" and "Witch's Valley."
Focusing on the two areas "Mononoke no Sato" which opened as [Phase 2] on November 1, 2023, and "Witch's Valley" which opened on March 16, 2024, the spectacular record of the shooting period of more than 1,400 days has been compiled into a main feature of over 7 and a half hours as "Ghibli Park Made. [Phase 2]" and recorded on three discs.

Director Goro Miyazaki is in charge of the production of Ghibli Park. With his deep inquisitiveness and commitment to craftsmanship, which is also seen in film production, he has brought the concept to fruition, and finally completed a new park facility unique to Ghibli. In "Mononoke Village," you can see the Japanese-style Satoyama scenery that appears in "Princess Mononoke," such as the hands-on learning facility "Tatara-ba" and the "Otokotonushi" slide. In "Witch's Valley," an area filled with magical devices and the yearning to fly in the sky, stands Howl's Castle (approx. 20m tall), with a presence that is almost like a living creature. Various craftsmen responded to Director Goro Miyazaki's high demands with their professional skills, and the video that records in detail the production process of the park that expresses the world of Ghibli is a must-see.
Additionally, as a special edition, it also includes footage that gives an idea of the current state of Ghibli Park, such as director Goro Miyazaki showing Hiroko Hirazawa, who played Aaya in "Earwig and the Witch," around "The Valley of the Witches," as well as new footage of the [Season 1] area.
Our project members, including Executive Creative Director Masaki Kawahara, will also be appearing.
