Trial to create an inclusive stadium where everyone can spend time | Launch of "Sensory Friendly Bags"

NOMURA Co.,Ltd. is advancing its R&D activities to realize its sustainability policy of "creating spaces that are easy for everyone to use." Currently, in partnership with researchers, stakeholders, and experts, we are working to create spaces where everyone can feel safe and comfortable, including conducting research, installing "sensory rooms" in stadiums, and developing experiential devices and concept design items for people who have difficulty going out for various reasons or who have given up on having experiences outside their homes.

Eastern League 2024 in TOKYO DOME (9/22) "Sensory Friendly Ticket" Sales

We are now working with Tokyo Dome to conduct a trial aimed at "creating an inclusive stadium where everyone can enjoy themselves." For the first time, "Sensor-Friendly Tickets" will be sold* at the professional baseball Eastern League official game on Sunday, September 22nd, with the cooperation of organizers The Yomiuri Shimbun, Nippon Television, and Tokyo Dome.

This ticket is designed to support everyone in having a safe and enjoyable time, and includes: ① viewing from a sparsely populated area (3rd floor balcony seats), ② a gift of an original "Sensory Friendly Bag" planned and produced by NOMURA Co.,Ltd. containing items that promote a pleasant sensation, ③ the rental of items that are effective in caring for sensitive senses and restoring calmness, and ④ a buffet meal.
This trial aims to explore the potential needs of people who have previously found it difficult to take the first step towards attending a baseball game, and to utilize this information to improve the value of the experience in the future.

NOMURA Co.,Ltd. will continue to work with its partners to ensure safety and peace of mind when out and about, whether at sports and entertainment events, commercial and public facilities, or any other setting, and to deliver inspiring experiences in inclusive spaces.

About Sensory Friendly Bags

The bag concept design and logo concept design were handled by NOMURA Co.,Ltd. IVD. The artwork on the bags is a collaboration with the welfare experiment unit "Heralbony".

As a ticket purchase bonus, customers will receive a "sensorial friendly bag" containing sensory items such as a hand spinner and a squeeze ball.

The bag concept design and sensory-friendly logo concept design were handled by NOMURA Co.,Ltd. IVD. The bag's pattern features artwork created by artists contracted by "Heralbony," a welfare experiment unit that collaborates with NOMURA Co.,Ltd. on various projects. In concept design the bag, too, the aim was to contribute to creating a society where everyone can easily go out, so that it can be used not only at events but also for everyday use.

Rental items/meals

Rental items: sunglasses, earmuffs, blankets, etc.
"Unpleasant sensations" and "comfortable sensations" are different for each individual. We have prepared items for loan that will prevent or keep away unpleasant sensations, as well as items that will protect your senses and pursue comfortable sensations.

Meals: Buffet
The renovated lounge area on the third floor is buffet style. The seats on the balcony side and the monitors showing live game footage make it comfortable to watch baseball games.
