NOMURA planner Naomi Kajimura will be speaking at the talk event "What is a comfortable town?" (sponsored by the Sendai City Urban Development Bureau, Urban Planning Division) to be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024.
    

In this second talk event looking back on the social experiment "MOVE MOVE," which took place in the Aoba-dori Sendai Station area in 2022, the speakers will discuss from their own perspectives the "comfort" of spaces and towns where people gather, such as the "comfort" of Sendai Station and the Aoba-dori area that extends from there, and what is needed to achieve this.

The guests are Takeho Sato, representative of The Youth, which runs the local lounge "Echoes" on Aoba-dori, and Naomi Kajimura, a planner from our company who is involved in creating spaces all over the country, including directing "Fukanuma Umino Hiroba" in the Arahama district of Miyagi.

Takeo Sato (CEO, TheYouth Co., Ltd.)
Born in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture in 1997. Founded "The Youth" with the philosophy of "connecting young people with the world", creating a place and environment where people, young people and adults, cultures and values can intersect. In 2021, opened the local lounge "Echoes" (Sendai, Miyagi). In 2022, produced and operated the cafe restaurant and music bar lounge "Common" (Roppongi, Tokyo). Currently active in two locations: Tokyo and Sendai.

Naomi Kajimura (Planner, NOMURA Co., Ltd.)
As a planner, he has experience in developing and planning a wide range of facility projects, including corporate showrooms, displays, commercial complexes, and hotels. His strengths lie in communication concept design, which treats space as a medium and embodies the messages of companies and businesses, and he proposes space creation and experience design from a branding perspective for a variety of facility projects. In addition, he is personally involved in creating operational systems that are built in collaboration with a variety of people, with the goal of ensuring the sustainability of the space.
