Towards the realization of cutting-edge public water facilities | "TOTO Technical Center Tokyo" reopens after renovation NOMURA was in charge of overall design, construction and system development

TOTO Technical Center Tokyo, a place to collaborate with business users to create future water-related spaces based on the concept of "Co-Creation," reopened on Monday, April 15, 2024.
The concept of this renewal is "Fine & Flow. It expresses "free, delicate, and beautiful water behavior and seamless transitions. The goal was not only to convey the commitment of water-related professionals and the reliable quality of TOTO products, but also to create a facility with facilities and an appearance suitable for co-creation and a facility that offers proposals that are appropriate in the digital age.
Takram designed the concept and UX for the facility experience, architect Takashi Nakahara designed the space concept design, WOW designed the UX/UI for the digital experience, and NOMURA was responsible for the overall design and construction and system development.

Brand Wall
As a hospitality space where visitors can learn about more examples, we have strengthened the interactive communication function, and on the large touch panel monitor and tablet, we will introduce proposals using over 3,000 images and the history of public bathrooms. All of the previous displays of construction example photos have been digitally managed again, making use of the large screen to improve viewability and updateability.
Additionally, in the concept movie featuring generative art, water particles change based on the themes of "Flow," "Planet," "City," and "DNA."
Technology displays Corner
A place where you can experience TOTO's core technology. With this renewal, displays use digital technology to make it easier to understand the mechanisms of sustainable products that are "clean," "comfortable," and "environmentally friendly."
We designed the interior to embody the interiors concept design concept and construction modular displays fixtures. We also developed a new tablet app displays the actual equipment with water running through it, and created a system environment that made it easier for presenters to give their explanations, including linking it to monitor images placed in various locations. We also introduced a CMS to manage the content owned by TOTO, which improved the updateability of displays.
You can also see our proposed layouts for products that have been installed in the past, tailored to the intended use of the space. Some of the equipment can be checked for usability with water running through it, in places such as commercial facilities, hospitals, nursing homes, schools, and offices. We were also in charge of design, layout, production, and construction of this space.
