Announcement of exhibition and seminar presentation at “SC Business Fair 2024”

NOMURA will be exhibiting again this year at the SC Business Fair 2024, the industry's largest event bringing together people involved in shopping centers.
The theme of this year's booth is "NOMURA 's vision of sustainable concept design." As part of our social good R&D activities, we are currently creating a "Sustainable concept design Manner Book" that will achieve environmental friendliness, design, and functionality. The booth will be designed in accordance with the basic principles of the Manner Book, and we will share ideas for creating concept design standards for the future. We aim to create a space that will inspire and inspire everyone to think together about creating new spaces for a decarbonized society.
In addition, a free seminar will be held on the first day of the event, January 24th (Wednesday). The creators involved in the planning and concept design of this booth will explore how to create sustainable concept design spaces that make people happy, based on the realizations they gained in the process of reviewing the "Sustainable concept design Etiquette Book."

About concept design approach of this booth
As sustainability efforts become more diverse, NOMURA has also continued to take on various challenges, such as developing upcycled materials.
This time, we will focus on the basic materials that are indispensable in constructing a space, and think about sustainable concept design by understanding the characteristics of the materials. We have used different basic materials, wood, cement, acrylic, copper, and iron, to create a lattice material, and by giving the space an undulating feel, we have created a booth that allows visitors to wander around and enjoy conversation.
The booth concept design was handled by four NOMURA designers who have worked on domestic and international award-winning projects. "Going back to basics and understanding materials. It may be a small action, but if each individual makes a small change, won't it change the future?" They will pursue new possibilities for materials and diversity of concept design through creativity to approach social issues.
