NOMURA, Ltd. was responsible for planning, design, layout, interior execution of the rest room at ZOZOBASE Tsukuba 3, ZOZO, Inc.'s newest and largest logistics center, which began full operation on November 1, 2023.

Based on the concept of "making staff excited and excited," we concept design a break room that is fun, relaxing, and motivating. By promoting automation through the introduction of the latest equipment, which is a first in Japan, we expect to reduce the number of staff required by about 30%, and we have used a lot of sustainable and unique materials, befitting an environmentally friendly facility, such as introducing 100% electricity from renewable energy sources. Furthermore, the sense of "excitement" is further enhanced by incorporating artworks made from upcycled discarded materials from ZOZOUSED.

"I'm originally a heavy ZOZOTOWN user, and I began designing with the idea that by expressing in the space the 'excitement' that you feel from purchasing a concept design until it arrives, it would be great if employees could take a break with excitement. The logistics center where the employees work is an area that, due to its function, is made up of a lot of inorganic materials, so in the break room, we wanted to make sure that employees could change their mood and feel refreshed as much as possible by using a lot of organic materials and craftsmanship. ZOZO and the artists and craftsmen who cooperated with us this time were all very warm and welcoming, and this break room was made possible as a result of everyone having fun, so I hope that people will be excited to use it."
