Five event production companies launch the "Sustainable Event Council" - As the first activity, it has been decided to implement the "Sustainable Event Studio" at Out of KidZania at JAPAN MOBILITY SHOW 2023 -

NOMURA Co.,Ltd. Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director President and CEO: Kiyotaka Okumoto) has established the "Sustainable Event Council" together with Tanseisha Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director President: Osamu Kobayashi), Dentsu Live Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director President and CEO: Masahiko Takagi), Hakuhodo Products Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Koto-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director President: Naohiko Kishi), and Murayama Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Koto-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director President: Tokumasa Saiki).

Toward 2030, the deadline for achieving the United Nations' SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals), all companies are expected to make significant contributions to the SDGs. At the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo, the theme "Contributing to Achieving the SDGs" was also established, and in the event industry, all event stakeholders—including organizers, production companies, and production companies—are expected to have a sustainability perspective.

In light of this situation, five companies with departments responsible for event and space production joined forces to launch the "Sustainable Event Council." By strengthening collaboration, we aim to promote sustainability and improve literacy across the entire event industry, working to translate these into concrete actions.

As the first phase of these activities, we will develop a booth called the "Sustainable Event Studio" inside Out of KidZania during JAPAN MOBILITY SHOW 2023, where children can enjoy learning about the importance of sustainability in event management and production.

Here, children can experience creating booths for mobility shows as "event designers." By freely combining sustainable materials to create models, you will learn environmentally conscious event concept design methods.

By emphasizing the importance of sustainability considerations at events not only to the children who will shape the future but also to parents with a strong interest in sustainability, we aim to improve literacy among the general public who attend the event.

NOMURA Co.,Ltd. and the Sustainable Events Council will continue to contribute to promoting sustainability across the entire industry.
