Announcement that the powerlifter, Tetsuo Nishizaki (who is affiliated with NOMURA), will participate in the “23rd All-Japan Para Powerlifting International Invitational Tournament”

Tetsuo Nishizaki (Men's 49kg weight class, Rio 2016 Paralympic Games participant), a powerlifter affiliated with NOMURA Co.,Ltd. Co., Ltd.
We will be participating in the 23rd All Japan Para Powerlifting International Invitational Championships to be held on Sunday, January 29, 2023.

・49kg class match time: Scheduled to start around 10:20. An award ceremony will be held after the event.

The main highlights of this tournament
This tournament has the longest history in the Japan Para Powerlifting Federation and is the most prestigious tournament held in Japan.
For the first time in 3 tournaments, overseas players are invited and spectators are invited, and it is the No. 1 deciding match between top level players.
This time, it will be the world's first trial in the para powerlifting world, and the competition will be held at a temple.
・Utilization of Shingo Katori's NFT art charity project donations.
・It will be reflected in the world rankings for 2023 (January to December 2023) as it is an IPC official tournament.
(This is not a ranking event for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.)

■ Comment from Nishizaki
Only one year left until 2024. After the Dubai World Cup, we have been proceeding with form changes.
This competition will test a new form, and rankings for Paris 2024 in future international competitions * I want to make a start to raise

This will be the first time that the venue, Tsukiji Honganji Second Mission Hall, will be hosting a sporting event.
We are looking forward to the atmosphere at the venue, which will be a collaboration between a historic temple and parasports competitions, as well as the first games to be held with spectators in three Olympics.
On the day of the match, we would like to turn the support of everyone participating in the event, both in person and online, into strength and take on the challenge.
