Powerlifter Tetsuo Nishizaki (NOMURA Ltd.) wins the Fazza 12th Dubai 2022 Para Powerlifting World Cup

Tetsuo Nishizaki (men's 49kg class, competed in the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games), a powerlifter affiliated with NOMURA Co., Ltd., participated in the Fazza 12th Dubai 2022 Para Powerlifting World Cup, held on Thursday, December 15, 2022 local time.

 

This tournament is positioned as part of the Paris 2024 Paralympic pathway stipulated by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC), so it is an important tournament that will be reflected in the rankings for participation in Paris 2024. As a result, I recorded 136 kg and won the 8th place.

Thank you for your support. This time, my goal was to succeed in three attempts at the international competition. In addition to achieving my goal, I was able to receive first place in the international record-breaking legend category (45 and over) in the ranking for Paris 2024. I would like to prepare myself for the All Japan Championships in January 2023 and aim to improve my personal best (139kg).
