NOMURA designed, concept design and construction "Komatsu Miu Exhibition: Taking on Taro Okamoto - Spirituality and Mandala"

NOMURA Co., Ltd. was responsible for the planning, concept design, and construction of the "Komatsu Miu Exhibition: Challenging Taro Okamoto - Spirituality and Mandala," which will be held at the Taro Okamoto Museum of Art in Kawasaki from Saturday, June 25, 2022.
Born in Nagano Prefecture in 1984, Miu Komatsu has seen the life and death of living creatures up close in the midst of abundant nature, which has led her to form her own unique view of life and death. This has led her to paint motifs inspired by "something invisible" such as messengers of the Japanese gods, divine beasts, and people's prayers. For Komatsu, who believes that "art is medicine that heals the soul," the creation of her works is accompanied by prayer and is a "divine ritual." In this exhibition, "Next Mandala - Great Harmony," which will be dedicated to the Shingon sect's head temple, Toji Temple (Kyoogokokuji Temple, Minami Ward, Kyoto City) in commemoration of the 1200th anniversary of the founding of the Shingon sect in 2023, will be specially exhibited.
