NOMURA 's Social Good Activities: Examples of revitalization projects for sightseeing spots "Umi to Sauna" and "Jobus!!" through the development of healing Mt. Nokogiri microtourism
NOMURA Co., Ltd. worked with five business operators, including Kinokuniya Co., Ltd., to create a tourism revitalization plan for the Mt. Nokogiri area in Chiba Prefecture. Adopted as a high value-added promotion business (*).
The area has experienced a decline in overnight stays and excursions due to an increase in day-trip private car tourism following the opening of the Tokyo Wan Aqua-Line and the Tateyama Expressway. The revitalization of tourism bases has become an issue, and we have planned it as a countermeasure. As part of that plan, we implemented two projects: a demonstration experiment "Sea and Sauna" and a transportation-related demonstration "Jobus!!".
We provide total production, from subsidy application support, research, planning, consulting, sign/graphic concept design, operation management (“Umi to Sauna”), public relations, and reporting support.
Based on the "Tourism Base Revitalization Plan" prepared by the local community, etc., we will provide strong, short-term, intensive support for businesses that aim to revitalize 100 tourist bases nationwide and increase the attractiveness and profitability of the entire region.
