On March 16, 2022, NOMURA Co., Ltd. held a seminar in collaboration with FSC Japan entitled "Hamamatsu City x NOMURA Ltd.: Contributing to the Achievement of SDGs through the Creation of FSC® Project-Certified Public Facilities - Considering the Renovation Examples of Hamamatsu Children's Museum and Hamamatsu Castle, the First in the Nation to Be Certified."

 

Representatives from the Forestry Promotion Division, Industry Department, and the Next Generation Development Division, Children and Families Department, of Hamamatsu City, as well as our company's Haruka Tashiro, Project Manager for the Hamamatsu Castle and Hamamatsu Children's Center FSC® Certification Project, and Atsushi Suzuki, concept design Director for the same project, took to the stage to talk about the FSC project certification case, which was undertaken in collaboration between Hamamatsu City and NOMURA and uses FSC-certified Tenryu timber.

 

A total of 185 people participated, including FM certification holders nationwide, COC certification holders related to FSC-certified timber, and local governments interested in FSC certification.
