108 ART PROJECT in Toyota City Information on the Toyota City Station Art displays Project

The 108 ART PROJECT will be launched in 2021 with the aim of enriching the scenery of the town and contributing to the creation of a bustling town through the power of art. We are developing various projects, starting with temporary enclosure art for construction sites.

NOMURA Ltd. also supports the purpose of this project and is working together as a partner.

This project was made possible through collaboration with Toyota Machizukuri Co., Ltd., which is working to revitalize the downtown area of Toyota City. Currently, the temporary enclosure that was erected in conjunction with the renovation of Building A of the Toyotashi Station West Exit Urban Redevelopment Building "T-FACE" will be used as a canvas displays art by Aichi Prefecture-born artist Tomoyuki Washio. NOMURA assisted with the selection of artists for this project.

What is drawn on the campus is the story of “weaving” people and cities. How will citizens and visitors spend their time there after T-FACE and Toyota City's station square are reborn? Based on the concept of "Tsumugu", which is included in the building redevelopment project, artists will express it on the campus.
