Seminar overview:
The Ellen MacArthur Foundation*, a British circular economy promotion organization, operates the online learning program "From Linear to Circular" in which about 5,000 people from all over the world participated. With permission from the Foundation, this is a 7-part series of online programs that deliver the learnings gained in the program.
In addition to introducing the basics of the circular economy and trends in each industry, guests will introduce circular economy initiatives. While learning with the participants, we will think about the path to circular economy transition.

・Please connect using the online tool “Zoom” We will send the URL for entering the room to all applicants one hour before the start.
・The venue is scheduled for 18:45.
・If you are using Zoom for the first time, please access it before the start. The app will be downloaded to your PC or smartphone. Due to functional limitations, we recommend using a PC as much as possible.
・The microphone will be muted during lectures.
・On the day of the event, there will be some time for participants to interact with each other in the breakout room.

Graduated from the Tokyo Institute of Technology Graduate School. Serving as Secretary General of NOMURA, Ltd.'s CSV Activity Organization. "Fairwood Project", which incorporates traditional techniques from around the country into spaces and offers high-value-added space proposals. JAPAN VALUE Project He is also a member of the General Incorporated Association Wood Architecture Promotion Council (2018), organizes tours of production areas, and speaks at and contributes to seminars sponsored by the Ministry of the Environment. His goal is to create recycled wooden spaces that are full of wood stories and creativity.

Graduated from Toyohashi University of Technology Graduate School. Specializing in concept design that combines digital technology such as technology and programming with space, he has worked on projects on a variety of scales, including corporate museums, observation facilities, and artwork. In addition to being active as a designer specializing in digital technology spaces, he also works as the director of NOMURA Group's innovation laboratory, NOMLAB" is also working with external concept design to develop prototypes of new expressive devices that use interaction and control. In 2020, the company will launch "Geometric Timber” (SC Business Fair 2020 He was in charge of creative direction and spatial concept design for the event.

Graduated from the Department of Architecture at Meiji University. After working at a general contractor and an architectural firm, he joined NOMURA where he is involved in a wide range concept design from interiors to architecture. In 2020, NOMURA signed a comprehensive collaboration agreement with "Nazuna Obi Castle Town Hot Springs", an alley lined with townhouses renovated into a lodging facility "Nazuna Kyoto Tsubaki Street He has been in charge of projects to utilize old houses from the Edo and Meiji periods, historical buildings built before the Building Standards Act was enacted, and other projects. He uses a wide range of methods, from large-scale repairs and renovations, including earthquake-resistance improvements, to conversions, and is working to revitalize the local area through space creation.
