Received "Eruboshi Certification (two stars)" from the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare

On July 22, 2020, NOMURA Co., Ltd. (headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo) received the "Eruboshi Certification (two stars)" from the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare as an excellent company based on the "Act on Promotion of Women's Participation and Advancement in the Workplace (hereinafter referred to as the "Women's Participation and Advancement Act").

"Eruboshi Certification" is a certification system based on the Act on Promotion of Women's Participation and Advancement in the Workplace, which came into force on April 1, 2016. Among the companies that formulate and submit an action plan for promoting women's empowerment, companies with excellent implementation status are certified by the Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare.

 

NOMURA, Ltd. has a mission to continue to provide "Delight and Passion" even in the midst of changing times and environments. Aiming to improve the work environment and job satisfaction of employees who create Delight and Passion, we are working to realize healthy working practices for employees, mainly through the Diversity Promotion Department. We are also working to create an environment where women can work and thrive, and have recently been awarded the second level of "Eruboshi" certification, "two stars," by meeting the criteria in three areas: "working style including working hours," "ratio of managers," and "diverse career paths."

 

Going forward, NOMURA will continue to promote working environments, systems, and training plans that allow each employee to feel comfortable and motivated in their work, in order to grow into a company and people that can achieve sustainable value growth and contribute to society.

 

■ What is “Eruboshi” certification?

Based on the Act on Promotion of Women's Participation and Advancement in the Workplace (Act on Promotion of Women's Participation and Advancement in the Workplace), this is a system that certifies companies that meet certain standards and excel in terms of promoting women's participation in the workplace.

Accreditation is evaluated based on five items: "Recruitment", "Continued employment", "Work style such as working hours", "Ratio of managerial positions", and "Diverse career courses". Of the above five evaluation items, it is divided into three levels from one star to three stars according to the number of items that are satisfied.

 

・Meet all 5 criteria: 3 stars (3 levels)

・Meet 3 to 4 criteria: 2 stars (2 levels)

・Meet 1 to 2 criteria: 1 star (1 level)
