eTREE TALK vol.3 "The inside story of a creator who uses wood in space"
"eTREE TALK" is a seminar where architects and architects listen to behind-the-scenes stories through dialogues between lumber companies and creators, based on actual examples of wooden space projects undertaken by architects and designers.
For this third installment, Junpei Asano, Representative Director of Mori Mirai Co., Ltd., who will serve as moderator; Masami Kato, President of Kato Lumber Co., Ltd. from Sayama City, Saitama Prefecture; and Keichiyo Suzuki, Executive Creative Director in charge of the Creative Division of NOMURA Co.,Ltd. Co., Ltd., will discuss their perspectives on wood, their experiences and know-how to date, and their concept design approaches.

Mr. Masazane Kato, Representative of Kato Lumber Co., Ltd.

Born in Hokkaido. After graduating from high school, he trained at a timber product market, where he learned the fundamentals of wood selection by handling cedar and cypress from all over Japan. Currently based in Sayama City, Saitama Prefecture, he is Representative Director of Kato Lumber, which specializes in "Hyakunen Sugi" (100-year-old cedar). Hyakunen Sugiya is a company that only makes cedar buildings and cedar furniture.
Keiichi Suzuki, Executive Creative Director, NOMURA Co.,Ltd. Co., Ltd.
Born in 1956. At NOMURA Co.,Ltd., he has been involved in a wide range of concept design, art direction, and production work, including exhibitions, corporate PR facilities, commercial facilities, and museums. He has received numerous awards, including the Display concept design Award Grand Prize, the Minister of International Trade and Industry Award, and the Good concept design Award Gold Prize. He is the president of the Japan Spatial concept design Association. concept design 3x3LabFuture with wood supplied by Kato Lumber Co., Ltd. He is a leading figure in the world of wood concept design.
