Our spatial designer, Echiyo Suzuki, and Ryo Onishi, concept design director of the Kanda Myojin Cultural Exchange Center "EDOCCO," which won the Cultural Facilities/Special Award, will be speaking at the "Wood concept design concept design 2019" special seminar (hosted by the Wood Design Award Management Office). The moderator will be Ms. Asako Nagano, Director of the Wood Utilization Division of the Forestry Agency. We look forward to seeing many of you there.

"Wood concept design Award 2019" Special Seminar

~A new era of "wood concept design" that leads to new value creation~

The Wood concept design Award recognizes outstanding products and services that utilize wood from the forests of Japan, one of the world's leading forested countries, and enrich life and society. This year, the fifth annual awards, 197 works were awarded the Wood concept design Award from among 413 entries, including one Grand Prize (Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Award), nine Excellence Prizes (Forestry Agency Commissioner's Award), 15 Encouragement Prizes (Chairperson's Award), and four Special Prizes (Wood Hospitality Award). There will also be a special seminar, featuring lectures and discussions by the judges and winners of top awards, on the theme of new-age wood concept design that leads to new value creation.
