A solo exhibition by Aju, the artist who received the NOMURA Prize at Art Stream 2017, is being held at our Osaka office.

We are holding a solo exhibition at our Osaka office by Aju, an artist who was awarded the NOMURA Prize at Art Stream 2017 (sponsored by Art Stream Executive Committee), which NOMURA supported as part of its social and cultural activities. This is Aju's first solo exhibition in a year, and it features a 4m-long panoramic landscape painting that she painted from memory over the course of two months, depicting the scenery she saw from the Osaka office.

NOMURA, Ltd. supports Aju and other artists who will lead the future, as well as social and cultural activities.

●Artist profile

Aju

Born in Osaka. Diagnosed with a developmental disability, she continues to express herself through painting as her own words. Characteristically, he draws without drafts, and recently he is also working on drawing the scenery he sees from memory.

 

●What is Art Stream?

This exhibition and art market (displays and selling original works by the artists themselves) has been held since 2003 with the aim of discovering artists and creators active throughout the Kansai region, providing a venue for them to exhibit and opportunities for them to grow, and is a stepping stone for up-and-coming artists.
