This event is being hosted by our company, which is an official supporter of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games (concept design, planning, and construction of interior and displays spaces), and has been certified as a Tokyo 2020 Official Programme (Reconstruction) of the Tokyo 2020 Participation Programme.

NOMURA, Ltd. has been holding the "Tohoku and Tokyo Collaboration Light Box" project since 2013.

This year, we once again held a workshop inviting the people of Ishinomaki, with whom we have developed strong connections since the Great East Japan Earthquake through NOMURA Group's support activity "Let's Connect Together! Project," people from neighboring companies in the Odaiba area, and employees of NOMURA Group.

Approximately 500 colorful and unique "light boxes" will be collected and displays in Ishinomaki and Odaiba.

We hope that the "box of light" will color Odaiba, connect Tohoku and Tokyo, and become a "light of hope."

*The “Box of Light” is a kit devised by Mr. Taizo Matsumura, a sculptor from Aomori Prefecture.
