Announcement of the release of the book "Space concept design for Children and Adults"

Associate Professor Ayako Naka of the Faculty of Life concept design, Toyo University and TeamM of NOMURA, Ltd., which works to create an environment where children and adults can spend together, jointly wrote "Space concept design for Children and Adults" on January 31st. (Wednesday) was released.

In this book, we interviewed facility designers and operators and introduced many good practices in order to explore common concept design ideas for "comfortable spaces for both children and adults." It is a book that considers future space creation, proposing a new space that is comfortable for both children and adults.

[About the author]
Ayako Naka
Associate Professor, Department of Human environmental design, Faculty of Life concept design, Toyo University. Doctor of Engineering

Graduated from Kyoto University and completed graduate school at Tokyo Institute of Technology. After working at the environmental design Institute and the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, assumed his current position. Specializes in children's environment and medical welfare architecture. Main designs include children's hospitals, elementary schools, nursery schools, baby rest rooms, and houses.

A cross-internal team made up of female employees who are raising children.
Based on the theme of "creating a place for children and adults to spend time together", they are engaged in various activities such as planning, concept design proposals, and industry-academia collaboration that make use of their experience in creating spaces and raising children.
