Great East Japan Earthquake Reconstruction Support Collaboration between Tohoku and Tokyo "Box of Light"

NOMURA, Ltd. has been holding the "Tohoku and Tokyo Collaboration Light Box" project since 2013.

This year, the people of Ishinomaki have strengthened their ties through NOMURA Group's support activities, "Let's Connect Together Project!", since the Great East Japan Earthquake.

A workshop was held, inviting local businesses and residents in the Odaiba area, as well as employees of NOMURA Group.

More than 500 colorful and unique "light boxes" will be collected and displays in Ishinomaki and Odaiba.

We hope that the "box of light" will color Odaiba, connect Tohoku and Tokyo, and become a "light of hope."

 

*"Light Box" is a kit devised by Mr. Taizo Matsumura, a sculptor from Aomori Prefecture, and it is a box that changes various patterns when held up to light.
