[2016 concept design Award] Received the Bronze Award at the "Asia concept design Awards 2016," the most influential design award in Asia.

We are pleased to announce that "TOMOKO KODERA CONCEPT SHOP" (client: Kashiwa Kei Co., Ltd.), for which Tomoki Fukano of NOMURA Co.,Ltd. was in charge of the spatial design, has received the Bronze Award at the "Asia concept design Awards 2016" (organized by the Hong Kong concept design Centre), which recognizes the most influential and outstanding concept design in Asia.
"TOMOKO KODERA CONCEPT SHOP" has received its second concept design award this year, following the "JCD concept design Award" announced in July.

Out of approximately 1,000 entries each year, 176 works were selected this year. In addition to three special awards, the awards consist of 10 grand prizes selected from 18 concept design fields, as well as departmental awards such as gold, silver, bronze, and merit awards. The awards ceremony is scheduled to be held in Hong Kong on November 30th.

Our company has received this Asian concept design Award for five consecutive years since 2012, and our high level of creativity has been highly praised not only in Japan but also throughout Asia.

■What is the concept design for Asia Awards? The concept design for Asia Awards 2016, organized by the Hong Kong concept design Centre (HKDC), is a concept design event highly regarded by designers and companies not only in Asia but around the world. It was launched in 2003 with the aim of enhancing the value of "excellent concept design" as an important element in leading businesses to success and forming a sustainable society. The awards evaluate designs based on "cultural interest," "sustainability," "tradition and technology," and "impact on Asian society," recognizing concept design that embody Asian aesthetics and have the potential to have a global impact, becoming a new trend in concept design.
