Based on the concept of a "forest of school bags," we planned a shop environment that would heighten excitement and raise expectations for elementary school.
At the entrance, there is a large symbolic tree that represents the growth of the children who will live alongside their school bags for six years.
The symbolic tree displays many types of school bags, including those with Seiban's brand signature "angel wings," and also functions as a signage object that draws visitors.
Furthermore, school bag leather was used on the façade hanging wall, sign panels, stair risers, etc., and the colorful school bag leather increased children's excitement about the school bags, while also highlighting the wide variety of Seiban school bags and their durability that allows for safe use for six years.

Name of the winning work: concept design Handbook for Creating Comfortable Spaces for Spending Time with Children (Basic Edition)

Work overview:

This is an internal knowledge research material for in-house concept design involved in creating spaces. We conducted research and studies on children's behavioral characteristics, body sizes by age, and accident cases that occurred in facilities that attract customers, which should be taken into consideration when planning and creating designs, and compiled it as a basic concept design handbook. All staff involved in the editing were female employees who were currently raising children, and the perspective of their childcare experience was reflected. This is one of the activities of Team M, which is made up of female employees of Nomura Kogei Co., Ltd., with the aim of utilizing childcare experience in creating spaces. Another result of the research activities is that they also considered the working style of women who are raising children in the process of editing the research activities. We will continue to conduct research and develop the second edition of the booklet, which will deepen the content of the booklet while listening to the voices of our internal users, and will continue to conduct research and studies.
