[2016 concept design Award] NOMURA wins two categories at the Digital Signage Awards 2016, strengthening efforts in spatial design using digital technology

NOMURA has won two awards in the Technology/Hardware category and one award in the Creative category at the Digital Signage Awards 2016 (hosted by the Digital Signage Consortium). The awards are as follows:

The signage is very fun and interesting. A display is attached to a Yaskawa Electric robot, and it rotates left, right, up, down, and diagonally. Although it mixes movement control technology and display interlocking, it is also technically advanced. In the future, signage will likely increase to include a signage that entertains viewers, as well as 3D and 4D. It will serve as a reference for the Cool Japan that Japan is sending out.

The objection side moves with projection mapping. It's easy to say, but I think it took a lot of effort to make something like this. It is a work that impressed me that I was able to make it so far.

・"Yaskawa Electric Miraikan" is an displays and experience facility established in conjunction with the large-scale renovation of the head office and factory facilities as part of Yaskawa Electric's 100th anniversary commemoration project. The "Robotics Signage" development project won the Grand Prize and the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award at the Japan Sign concept design Awards 2015. The "Mechatronics Wall" development project also won the Grand Prize at the same awards.
・Seven Park Ario Kashiwa "Seven Park Ario Kashiwa" exceeded 1 million visitors within 10 days of its opening. Among them, "Sky Kids" plans and produces interactive playground equipment and large-screen content that stimulate children's playfulness with the theme of physical communication.
・In conjunction with the renewal of the World Heritage Site and National Treasure Himeji Castle, AR is being used in displays. You can see the appearance of Himeji Castle in the past and the structure of the buildings on your mobile device. The project won both the Grand Prize and the Gold Prize at the Hong Kong concept design for Asia Awards 2015.
・" SKY CIRCUS Sunshine 60 Observation Deck" We plan and produce a world-class observation deck in collaboration with Dentsu where you can enjoy "view" and play with "technology" using various latest technologies such as VR.
・Planned and developed an app in seven languages for "Fuji Meguri" and "Yamanashi Prefectural Mount Fuji World Heritage Center" (opened June 22, 2016) that uses beacon positioning and AR to guide and explain displays in the facility and local tourist spots. (Planned and developed in collaboration with Yamanashi Prefecture, Museegram Co., Ltd., and Koozyt Co., Ltd.)
