Regarding the order for preservation work of "Miracle Pine Tree"

NOMURA, Ltd. has received an order from Rikuzentakata city, Iwate prefecture, to preserve the "Miracle Pine Tree."

This project involves carrying out preservative treatment on the "Miracle Pine Tree," the only remaining surviving pine tree in the Takada Matsubara National Scenic Area, which was destroyed by the tsunami caused by the Great East Japan Earthquake.
The project was planned with the aim of preserving it as a monument to pass on the story of the earthquake disaster, and our company will be responsible for the design and construction of this project.
The removal work will take place on September 12th and 13th, after which the remains will be treated with preservatives and returned to their current location by the end of February next year.
