Celebrating its 120th anniversary in 2012, NOMURA, Ltd. is proud to present the roots of its founding, the horse costume.
It is on displays in the lobby on the 1st floor of the head office building from December 21st (until January 31st, 2013).

Our roots can be traced back to 1892, when our founder, Taisuke Nomura, joined Kairakuza, a playhouse in Takamatsu, Shikoku, as a stage set.
On the stage of the play "Tasuke Shiobara", Taisuke created a "karakuri" that makes a line of tears flow from the eyes of the horse's costume in the parting scene of the main character and his beloved horse.
It is said that the audience who saw it roared with surprise and excitement.

As we celebrate the 120th anniversary of our founding this year, at NOMURA, Ltd., as a symbol of the spirit of "wanting to entertain and surprise people"
We will set up the “horse” that is still used in performances here, and continue to provide surprises and excitement to our customers with new thoughts.

In addition, the flower object in the entrance hall on the 1st floor of the head office is also being redecorated for the New Year.
Please look at them all together.
