[2015 concept design Award] Yaskawa Electric Miraikan wins the Grand Prize and Best Award at the 49th Japan Sign concept design Awards

The Yaskawa Electric Miraikan, for which NOMURA was in charge of spatial design, won the Grand Prize and the Grand Prize at the 49th Japan Sign concept design Awards (sponsored by the Japan Sign concept design Association SDA, a public interest incorporated association).

 

"Yaskawa Electric Miraikan" is one of the 100th anniversary projects of Yaskawa Electric, a global leader in industrial robots, which renovated its headquarters factory into a new "Robot Village". It is a facility that allows general visitors to easily understand the company's business while experiencing and feeling it. The "Robotics Signage" created by Kenji Ogino, who was in charge of the device direction for the main displays, and Hirotaka Tamura, who was in charge of the space concept design, won the Grand Prize and Kyushu District Prize, and the "Mechatronics Wall" won the Grand Prize.

 

"Robotics Signage" attaches signage to eight arms of 7-axis industrial robots that move as flexibly and dexterously as human "arms". This is the world's first production device that creates a never-before-seen moment through a variety of interlocking video expressions.

 

In addition, the "Mechatronics Wall" has 128 cubes of 150 squares arranged on a wall surface of 4.5M in height and 4M in width. , which is also the world's first production equipment. Create an artistic space full of visual surprises.
