[2015 concept design Award] Winner of the UK Restaurant & Bar Design Awards for the second consecutive year
"Toranomon HOP" (Minato-ku, Tokyo), directed by NOMURA and Kosaka Ryu and designed by Sasaki Hirosuke, won the top award in the Asia Bar category at the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards 2015 (sponsored by Restaurant & Bar Design Awards), an internationally renowned award for food and beverage spaces. This marks the second consecutive year that the company has won an award in this category, following last year's "W Guangzhou FEI." This is also the first time in the world that the same company has won the award in this category two years in a row.
Founded in 2009 and celebrating its 7th anniversary this year, the awards ceremony was held on October 1st at the Old Truman Brewery in London. Approximately 700 people, including designers, media representatives, and industry experts, attended from around the world, including the UK.
This year, there were 860 entries from over 70 countries around the world, and in the Asia Bar category, there were entries from about 10 Asian countries, including China, Hong Kong, Singapore, and India, in addition to Japan. The winner of the Grand Prize, "Toranomon HOP," was praised by the judges for "beautifully expressing the essence of the material within a simple concept design."
