NOMURA Co.,Ltd. 's Social Good Activities: The Case of LOQUAT Villa SUGURO - Creating an Auberge Space that Reflects the Charm of the Region

NOMURA Co.,Ltd. Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") aims to create a positive impact through its business activities in order to realize a sustainable society. Social good activities We are promoting "[ ]". One of our initiatives from last year was "[ ] LOQUAT (Lokwat) Nishi-Izu I was in charge of the planning and concept design of (operated by Toi Tourism Revitalization Co., Ltd.).
Then, on July 1, 2022, "LOQUAT Villa SUGURO," a separate villa that serves as the highest-end flagship model of the "Town-wide Resort Concept" aimed at further revitalizing the Toi area of Izu City, had its grand opening.
Our company handled planning, concept design, architecture, interiors design, supervision, signage, and FF&E construction.

"LOQUAT Villa SUGURO" is a 5-minute drive from the main building of "LOQUAT Nishi-Izu." It is a converted former Suguro residence, built during the Meiji period, that has been transformed into a private villa available for one group per day. While making the most of the charm of the old house and the surrounding landscape, the space is designed to reflect the local character down to the smallest detail, such as the earthen walls made from local soil and the dining table made from cherry wood that had been stored at a local lumberyard.
