Views on respect for human rights
Human rights policy
NOMURA Co.,Ltd. Ltd. Group has adopted the management philosophy, "Based on respect for human beings, we contribute to creating a rich human environment through the creation of new value," and has clarified its social mission in its corporate activities. In order to realize this social mission, the company focuses on responsible corporate behavior based on dialogue with stakeholders, including its supply chain and employees, and as part of this, has established a "Human Rights Policy" aimed at avoiding human rights violations for all people.
Prevention of harassment
Based on our human rights policy, our group explicitly prohibits discrimination, respects the rights of workers and vulnerable people related to our business, and prohibits all forms of harassment. In addition, we are taking continuous measures to prevent harassment, such as conducting harassment training for all employees, including managers and non-managers.

Implementation of human rights due diligence
In accordance with the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, our group has established a human rights due diligence mechanism to identify, prevent, and mitigate negative impacts on the human rights of people involved in our business activities, as well as to evaluate the effectiveness of our efforts and explain and disclose how we addressed these issues.
In order to identify negative impacts on the supply chain, we are conducting surveys by scoping with our partner companies and our group employees.
