Responding to climate change (disclosure based on TCFD recommendations)

NOMURA Co.,Ltd. Group considers climate change to be a crucial environmental issue and is working to address it. In promoting climate change-related initiatives, we are organizing them in accordance with the framework outlined by the TCFD (Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures).
Governance
In addressing various sustainability challenges, including climate change, we have established a Sustainability Committee (chaired by Representative Director President and CEO as an advisory body to the Board of Board Directors. This committee is responsible for formulating and implementing concrete plans to resolve these challenges and reporting them to the Board Board Directors. The implementation structure is as follows:

Based on scenario analysis using reports from various expert organizations, we have evaluated the impact of climate change on our group's business as shown in the table below, considering the risks and opportunities it presents.
Risk Management
The Sustainability Committee conducts detailed reviews of risks related to sustainability in general and identifies risks that should be prioritized, and important matters are confirmed by the Board Board Directors. The identification of risks that should be prioritized is based on the financial impact on our group, the environmental and social impact of our group's activities, and the likelihood of their occurrence.
Indicators and targets
Our group has set "Promoting measures to reduce GHG emissions" as a key performance indicator (KPI) for materiality, and we are promoting initiatives to reduce GHG emissions, including CO₂.
