This project is for the GOOD HEALTH CAFETERIA and INTERNATIONAL CAFETERIA, which are located at Tokyo International University, adjacent to Sunshine City in Ikebukuro. We were in charge of the interiors concept design, building execution to enrich the living space where students spend most of their days, and to create a comfortable environment where they can do various activities in addition to eating and drinking. The two cafeterias aim to become new bases for campus life by providing an environment where students can naturally gather, learn about each other's cultures through healthy Japanese food and food from around the world, and encourage interaction.
In addition to enhancing the image of the Ikebukuro campus, we want to create a cafeteria that has the dignity of a place of learning and serves as a place for international exchange that is typical of Tokyo International University. Additionally, there were requests for a comfortable open space where students could naturally gather, a cafeteria that would help students grow mentally and physically, and a lively place where students, faculty, staff, and the local community could interact. there was.
Based on the concept of "a cafeteria that delights the body and mind," we incorporated earth-colored louvers that gently connect with the outdoor park and triangular latticework into concept design motif to create a comfortable space that is continuous with the inside and outside of the cafeteria. By comprehensively concept design interiors, furniture, and signs so that it can be used outside business hours as well as for eating and drinking, we have made it possible to hold a variety of activities, such as chatting between classes or holding small seminars.
