overview

The hotel's name, TIAD, is an acronym for the concept "Tomorrow Is Another Day" (a hotel where guests' tomorrow will change). TIAD is a luxury hotel where guests can experience the new value of living in harmony with the greenery and nature of Hisaya-odori Park, even though it is located in the heart of the city.
TIAD is the proprietary brand of Nihon Ceremony Corporation, which is headquartered in Shimonoseki City, Yamaguchi Prefecture and mainly engaged in weddings, funerals, and ceremonial rites, and this is the fourth "Autograph Collection" hotel in Japan through the partnership with Marriott International.
The reception floor features two restaurants, an all-day dining restaurant and a Japanese restaurant, and all 150 guest rooms, the first of their kind in Aichi Prefecture, are over 50 square meters in size, with three categories and 14 types of variations.
For weddings, the chapel is a distinctive concept design with a maximum seating capacity of 120 people and a 10ⅿ ceiling height for a sense of openness. The wellness zone includes a lounge, indoor swimming pool, fitness gym, and in-room spa. We have completed all of the hotel's FOH (Front of House) schematic design and design supervision, as well as some bridal-related fixture work and construction for the TIAD salon.

*MICE: An acronym made up of the initial letters of corporate meetings, incentive travel by companies, conventions held by international organizations, academic societies, displays, trade fairs, and events. It is a general term for these business events. (Source: Japan National Tourism Organization)

Issues/requests

In addition to meeting the conditions for supporting the attraction of luxury hotels in Aichi Prefecture and Nagoya City, we also sought to find a new type of luxury hotel that had not existed in Nagoya before. For banquet halls, we aim to provide functionality and a sense of quality that can meet the needs of a wide range of customers, from weddings to MICE. Create a space that clearly expresses your connection to the region and the local community. We have received the above requests.

solution

The planning was done to draw the greenery of Hisaya Boulevard into the building and interior, and we created an open, original, luxurious space as a city resort with a sense of authenticity and dignity, centered around natural materials such as wood and stone.
Each banquet hall offers a view of the greenery of the park, and by making use of wooden materials, concept design has a high-quality feel that makes it suitable for not only weddings but also MICE.
concept design also incorporates motifs that are derived from the site's origins in Yabacho, such as the ginkgo trees lining Hisaya Odori Avenue, and expresses a connection with the local area by incorporating traditional Aichi craftsmen and artists, such as Mino washi paper and Arimatsu shibori, into the art and interior design.
