overview
The hotel name TIAD is an acronym for its concept, "Tomorrow Is Another Day" (a hotel that changes guests' tomorrow). TIAD is a luxury hotel that offers guests a comfortable and uplifting environment, allowing them to experience a new kind of value by coexisting with the greenery and nature of Hisaya-Odori Park, despite being located in the heart of the city.
TIAD is a proprietary brand of Nippon Ceremony Co., Ltd., Head Office in Shimonoseki City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, which primarily handles weddings and funerals. Through its partnership with Marriott International, it has become the fourth "Autograph Collection" in Japan.
The reception floor features two restaurants: an all-day dining restaurant and a Japanese restaurant. The hotel boasts 150 guest rooms, all of which are over 50 square meters in size—a first for Aichi Prefecture—and are available in three categories and 14 room types.
For weddings, the chapel has a distinctive concept design with a spacious feel, accommodating up to 120 seated guests and boasting a 10-meter high ceiling. In addition, there are three banquet halls capable of handling MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) demand, and the wellness zone includes a lounge, indoor pool, fitness gym, and in-room spa. Our company handled schematic design and design supervision for all of the hotel's FOH (Front of House), as well as some of the bridal-related fixtures and construction of the TIAD salon.
*MICE: An acronym formed from the first letters of Meetings, Incentive Travel, displays, and Exhibitions/Events, and is a general term for these business events. (Source: Japan National Tourism Organization)
Issues/requests
In addition to meeting the conditions for supporting the attraction of luxury hotels in Aichi Prefecture and Nagoya City, we also sought to find a new type of luxury hotel that had not existed in Nagoya before. For banquet halls, we aim to provide functionality and a sense of quality that can meet the needs of a wide range of customers, from weddings to MICE. Create a space that clearly expresses your connection to the region and the local community. We have received the above requests.
solution
The design incorporates the greenery of Hisaya-Odori Avenue into the building and interior, creating an open, original, and luxurious space that embodies a sense of authenticity and gravitas, primarily using natural materials such as wood and stone, making it a true city resort.
Each banquet hall offers stunning views of the park's greenery, and the use of wood creates a sophisticated concept design suitable not only for weddings but also for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions).
Furthermore, concept design.
