SOSiLA Narashino Akanehama II

"SOSiLA" is a new logistics facility brand that connects people and society. Its themes are efficiency in logistics, ecology, safety and BCP compliance, and a comfortable working environment. The Narashino Akanehama Building 2 was the brand's first renovation project.
Our company was responsible for everything from concept development to the design and construction of the approach, windbreak area, and elevator hall.

This facility was completed in 2007 and required renovation due to the effects of aging, and we received a request to create a valuable logistics space before new tenants could move in.

When we considered SOSiLA's philosophy of "Sociability," "Sustainability," and "Individuality," we believed that what could be conveyed through the space was "cherishing the people who work there." Therefore, we promoted the project with the concept of "increasing the value of time" so that employees could feel a sense of pride. Taking into account the location characteristics of Narashino Akanehama, which is close to the city center, we expressed SOSiLA's philosophy of linking facilities with the local community as an urban area, and aimed for concept design that allows people to experience a dignified sophistication by being in the space.
Furthermore, we incorporated a high level concept design, unlike anything seen in previous logistics facilities, such as displaying iconic modular structures on the walls.
The overlapping of simple shapes creates volume and interplay of light and shadow, adding layers to the space and giving each wall a significant presence. The modular design resembles stacked boxes, abstractly representing a logistics facility. Through these design elements, we have created a fresh and vibrant concept design that allows employees to feel a breath of fresh air every day.
