overview

Shuri Castle is currently undergoing restoration and reconstruction following the fire that broke out on October 31, 2019.
The memories of the fire and the reconstruction process that begins at the site are woven together with the thoughts of a wide range of subjects, including local residents around Shurijo Castle, Okinawan residents living in Japan and overseas, tourists, and people involved in the restoration project. In addition to conveying the history and culture of Shurijo Castle, we will also hold various events and events for the restoration and reconstruction of Shurijo Castle. I am aiming for
In October 2021, a new observation deck passage was set up for the general public, and we have signage to guide you to the pay area, graphics for temporary enclosures that convey the scenery of the reconstruction work, activities until reconstruction, and Shurijo Castle. I created an explanatory graphic that conveys the details of the.

[Social Issues/Customer Issues/Requests]
・We would like to raise awareness of the “Shurijo Castle Seiden Restoration” and create a sense of anticipation for the construction of the main building.
・Spinning the thoughts of various subjects, including visitors, to increase the appeal.
・As an issue unique to Okinawa, production must be made on the premise that the specifications can withstand typhoons, hot and humid climates, and salt damage.
I had more requests and issues.

【solution】
The signage that guides visitors to the paid area introduces the highlights, raises awareness of the restoration of the Seiden, and raises interest in Shurijo Castle Park as a whole.
The temporary enclosure in front of the entrance to the shrine has graphics that start with the appearance of the Shurijo Castle main hall in the olden days, the scene of reconstruction work, and the current state of the event. The design was designed so that the process can be understood intuitively.
In addition, the detailed explanation attached to the temporary enclosure consists of explanations of Shurijo Castle in the past and future construction details, and it is designed to be detachable in consideration of relocation due to construction progress and typhoons.
